Letter to Official
December 6, 2009
The Honorable Bob Filner
2428 Rayburn House Office Building
United States House
Washington, DC 20510
I am writing to express dismay toward government officials who are not supporting the change to alternative energy sources, replacing fossil fuels as a primary energy source, and finally the high dependence on oil. It is clear that we are spending an enormous amount of money in order to fuel the economy, and increasing the issue of global warming. That is why I am asking you to support the need to transition to alternative energy sources in order to lower the dependence of oil and fossil fuels all together. I support the National Security and Consumer Protection Act (H.R. 3221) which has been passed on July 30th, 2008, and the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act (H.R. 5351) however this bill has not been passed but it is awaiting approval from the Senate, both bills combine US $23 billion in government subsidies to oil companies, and that money will be redirected to support solar, geothermal, biomass and marine renewable technology.
I urge that you create a bill that will try to further strengthen the need for alternative energies. However, the main difference that will tower over the existing bills would be that there should be a penalty put upon the companies if they are not compliant with the law such as having to pay a significant amount of money in violation, then if the company continues to violate the set rules they should be permanently shut down, as well there shall be a shorter time frame where the companies are required to implement the alternative energy sources. The bill should implement the same aspects as the former bills of subsiding money from oil companies, as well try to increase the research for alternative energies. If the bill is passed, it could possibly turn the environment around, and help America fight its dependence on oil.
Sincerely,
Juan Romero

Food and Government
- I feel that people eat unhealthy foods because people are not looking at the healthiness of it, they are looking at the price of the food and how quickly does it take to be made, because everyone is in a hurry now days.
- The government seems to have every role in framing over choices because they give us certain choices that all are made from their view, and we are to choose on of those choices.
- I believe that they are corrupting us, so they should be responsible for helping us to fix our minds.
- I believe we should be responsible because we can't rely on them, they have already changed what we are consuming from the past, to unhealthy.

Jeremy White Biography
Jeremy White was born in Sacremento on August 27th, 1975. At the young age of six his parents divorced and so he began to become close with his mother, he was majorly influenced by her. She taught him to think about others before he thinks about himself. He has 2 younger brothers and one younger sister. When he was in highschool he associated himself with the subculture of a musician, and he was influenced to become a musician at a young age because of his friend in elementary school, his friend was a drummer and very talented and this inspired him. When he looks back on his life he took three aspects that made his childhood great. Number one was the fact that his mom was a stay at home mother, number two was that his best friend even thirty-two years later is still his best friend lived next to him, and finally number three was that he had his younger siblings. Once he went to college he attended sacramento college and pursued a major in music. But after he graduated he started to get a feel of the live of a band member and saw how uneducated they were financially, so he began to pursue a career in financial business. He first started out with his own business in real estate but he didn't see that as a fit for him, so he then became a financial planner for Northwestern Mutual. He is the type of person that loves to travel for the reason that he enjoys seeing how people live and it shows him the aspects in his life he appreciates he has because he is an American. In his life time he has never had any regrets, but more so some bad decisions that he wishes he could change but they were chosen because that was the best choice with the knowledge he had at that moment. One thing that he is great at that should not be looked down upon is that he is a great listener, and he has a positive outlook on life, but he feels that because he at times would too much work load at once he could not go as far as he planned however, he is very satisfied with where he is as of now in his life, even though he would like to get further up the ladder of success like any other person would. In ten years he sees himself in Hawaii on vacation for a few months. The one thing he wants to share that he wishes everyone takes heed is to stay in school, learn all you can, and think through decisions.

The Turben and Barder
Barder the flying dog and his friend James are on an adventure to the moon. Whenever James puts on the turban, Barder recieves the ability to fly. Tonight was a very special night because the moon was full and made lots of light in the sky. And since Barder was a magical dog, when he flew he left behind magic dust. Barder flew higher, and higher, and James was about to see his city with all the houses and the people walking. Then he looked away, and stared at the moon, it was so beautiful. Then the next thing James realized was it was time for school.
